What is Catalog feed?

A catalog feed is the set of product data, such as names, prices, images, links and availability, that an email platform syncs from your store to use in emails.

It powers product blocks, recommendations and back-in-stock messages. When the store integration syncs correctly, an email can pull the current image and price for each item automatically.

Accuracy matters because customers click what they see. Out-of-stock items, wrong prices and broken images all come from stale or incomplete data.

Good product data also helps recommendations. Clear categories and consistent tags let the platform group related items sensibly.

A worked example.

A hypothetical shoe store notices a recommendation block showing an item that sold out last week. The team finds that stock status was not syncing, fixes the integration, and adds a check of the catalog before each large campaign.

Common mistakes.
