What is Replenishment flow?
A replenishment flow is an automated email sent shortly before a customer is likely to run out of a consumable product, prompting them to reorder.
Timing is the whole job. Use the real gap between first and second orders for each product, not a guess, and test sending slightly before that point.
It works best for products people use up, such as coffee, skincare, supplements and pet food.
A worked example.
A supplement store finds most customers reorder a thirty-day bottle after about thirty-five days. It sends the reminder at day twenty-eight, so the email lands before the bottle runs out.
Common mistakes.
- Using one delay for every product
- Sending after the customer has already reordered
- Ignoring pack size
