How do I check that my email domain is authenticated?
Check that SPF, DKIM and DMARC records exist and pass for your sending domain, using your email platform setup page and a free DNS lookup or header test. Send a test to a Gmail account and view the original message to confirm passes.
Your email platform will usually give you the exact DNS records to publish for your sending domain. After adding them, wait for propagation and use the platform verification button.
In Gmail you can open Show original on a test message and look for pass results next to SPF, DKIM and DMARC. Alignment with your visible from domain matters too.
Repeat the check whenever you change platforms or add a new sending tool.
In practice.
A store switches email platforms and publishes the new records. It sends a test to a personal Gmail address, opens the original message view and sees all three checks pass before turning on its flows.
